Sony vient de dévoiler son nouveau Xperia ZR, petit frère du Xperia Z, celui-ci sera rapidement disponible avant l’été en plusieurs coloris.
Ce nouveau smartphone est équipé d’un écran tactile Reality Display Mobile BRAVIA 2 de 4,6 pouces avec une définition de 1 280 x 720 pixels (319 ppi), d’un processeur quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro cadencé à 1,5 GHz avec 2Go de RAM, d’un GPU Adreno 320, d’une capacité de 8Go et d’un port microSD, des Wifi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC ainsi que de la 4G, des certificaitons IP 55/IP 58 ou encore d’une capteur photo Exmor RS de 13 Megapixels. Ses dimensions sont de 131 x 67,4 x 10,4 mm pour 140g et il tourne sous Android 4.1 Jelly Bean (pour le moment).
Sony is gearing up to launch the Xperia ZR, according to leaked details
Details have leaked online of a new Xperia model from Sony. The Sony Xperia ZR is said to be a 4.6-inch handset with a quad-core processor and water resistant properties.

The display will have a 1280x720 pixel resolution while the processor is a 1.5GHz Qualcomm S4 Snapdragon Pro with 2GB of RAM. The handset will feature a 13-megapixel Exmor RS camera, a 2,300mAh battery, 8GB of internal storage and microSD capability, presumably up to 64GB.
This sort of spec would suggest a mid-range price point but the Xperia ZR will apparently have an IP58 water resistance rating which is a higher grade than that of the Sony Xperia Z and will mean it can be submerged around half a meter deeper into water than the flagship.
According to XperiaBlog, the source of the leaked information, the Xperia ZR will have a similar exterior design to Sony’s Xperia ZL. This means it’ll have a broadly similar shape to the Xperia Z, though it will of course be smaller, but it won’t feature a glass back panel and instead might have a slightly curved back. Allegedly it’ll be around 10mm thick and weigh about 140g.
Sony has recently rolled out an Android Open Source Project build of Android Jelly Bean to the Xperia Z flagship, meaning users can get a stock Android experience on their Xperia branded phone. It’ll be interesting to see if the company follows the same practice with the rest of its recent Xperia line-up. We think it’d be great to offer buyers the option of either having Sony’s own UI or stock Android on the same hardware and there’s an inkling that this is what Sony’s pursuing.

D’après des informations relayées par nos confrères du site Internet GSMArena, ce smartphone officialisé au mois de janvier dernier, à l’occasion du salon Consumer Electronic Show de Las Vegas, arriverait ainsi sur les étals courant avril.
Positionné en haut de gamme, il devrait être affiché au tarif de 599,99 euros en nu, autrement dit hors subventionnement opérateur.

Côté technique, rappelons qu’il s’agit d’un terminal sous environnement Android Jelly Bean propulsé par un processeur quad-core 1,5 GHz d’origine Qualcomm et pourvu d’une mémoire vive d’une capacité de 2 Go.
Celui-ci propose un écran multitouch 5 pouces Full HD, une compatibilité 2G / 3G / 4G / Wi-Fi N, des liaisons GPS/ NFC / Bluetooth 4.0, des interfaces Micro-USB 2.0 / mini-jack, un appareil photo numérique 13 Mégapixels, une webcam 2 Mégapixels, un tuner radio FM RDS et une mémoire flash de 16 Go extensible au moyen d’une carte MicroSD.
En termes d'autonomie enfin, il laisse espérer jusqu'à 10 heures en communication et jusqu'à 500 heures en veille.
Sony Mobile Communications, anciennement Sony Ericsson, vient d’officialiser deux smartphones qui faisaient parler d’eux depuis quelques temps : les modèles Xperia L et Xperia SP.
Présentée en janvier, la tablette Xperia Z de Sony, compatible 4G LTE, sera lancé avant mi-2013. Le smartphone du même nom est quant à lui officiellement disponible.

En plus des smartphones Xperia Z et Xperia ZL, le constructeur japonais Sony nous préparerait un modèle Xperia ZP, également connu en interne sous le nom HuaShan.
Aux dimensions 13,1 x 6,7 x 1 centimètre pour un poids de 155 grammes, il s’agirait d’un smartphone 4,6 pouces animé par un processeur ARM double cœur à 1,7 GHz, le modèle Qualcomm SnapDragon S4 Pro MSM8960T, et doté d’une solution graphique Adreno 320.
Sous environnement Android – Jelly Bean a priori, et peut-être Key Lime Pie par la suite –, celui-ci propose un affichage multitouch avec une définition 1 280 x 720 pixels, de la capture 8 Mégapixels et un espace de stockage de 8 Go que l’on peut compléter grâce à une carte mémoire MicroSD.
Il profiterait d’une conception mêlant l’aluminium pour sa façade et le plastique pour son dos.
