Realme 5i smartphone was launched on 7th January 2020. The phone comes with a 6.52-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720x1600 pixels at a pixel density of 269 pixels per inch (ppi) and an aspect ratio of 20:9. Realme 5i is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor that features 4 cores clocked at 2.2GHz and 4 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. It comes with 4GB of RAM. The Realme 5i runs Android 9 and is powered by a 5000mAh non-removable battery.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the Realme 5i on the rear packs a 12-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture; a second 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.25 aperture; a third 2-megapixel camera and a fourth 2-megapixel camera. The rear camera setup has autofocus. It sports a 8-megapixel camera on the front for selfies, with an f/2.0 aperture.

The Realme 5i is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. The Realme 5i measures 164.40 x 75.00 x 9.30mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 195.00 grams. It was launched in Aqua Blue and Forest Green colours.

Connectivity options on the Realme 5i include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, Bluetooth v5.00, USB OTG, Micro-USB, FM radio, 3G, and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India) with active 4G on both SIM cards. Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and fingerprint sensor. The Realme 5i supports face unlock.
