Honor Play 9A smartphone was launched on 30th March 2020. The phone comes with a 6.30-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720x1600 pixels at a pixel density of 278 pixels per inch (ppi). Honor Play 9A is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 (MT6765) processor. It comes with 4GB of RAM. The Honor Play 9A runs Android 10 and is powered by a 5000mAh non-removable battery. The Honor Play 9A supports proprietary fast charging.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the Honor Play 9A on the rear packs a 13-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a second 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture. The rear camera setup has autofocus. It sports a 8-megapixel camera on the front for selfies, with an f/2.0 aperture.
