I9000 Galaxy S hits with a 4-inch Super AMOLED screen

I9000 Galaxy S hits with a 4-inch Super AMOLED screen

Today Samsung unveiled their new Android flagship, the Samsung I9000 Galaxy S. Packing a 4" Super AMOLED display and a 1 GHz CPU inside an ultra thin body, the Galaxy S is certainly among the hottest Android smartphones to-date.

Running on a heavily customized version of Android 2.1, Samsung I9000 Galaxy S packs a 5 megapixel autofocus camera, capable of recording 720p video footage at 30fps. The magnificent display will sport WVGA resolution and there will be support for Wi-Fi b/g/n. GPS with A-GPS is also on board, along with 3G (with HSDPA support), USB and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity.

The Samsung I9000 Galaxy S will come in two versions, with 8 and 16GB of internal memory respectively and they will both have a microSD card slot. A 1 GHz application processor of a yet unknown architecture will tick inside the amazingly slim 9.9mm body. DivX and XviD video playback support (for videos up to HD resolution) complete the list of noteworthy features.

As of now there is no information about the target availability or pricing of the Samsung I9000 Galaxy S. Those should be made official in the coming weeks.

The newly announced Samsung I9000 Galaxy S is a VIP guest at the Samsung booth at this year's CTIA Wireless expo and is naturally enjoying quite a lot of attention. We have several videos of the handset in action, demonstrating its remarkable performance and sweetly slim waistline.

The Samsung I9000 Galaxy S is obviously very snappy and responsive and the power of its 1GHz CPU can be felt throughout the interface. There are also multi-touch gestures (which are also quite smooth) and the TouchWiz interface to freshen up the stock Android looks. Check out the Samsung's new Android flagship in the videos below.

    Nokia X9 is a 12 Megapixel Cameraphone

    Nokia X9 is a 12 Megapixel Cameraphone

Nokia’s X Series is getting more and more love recently, so we even stumbled upon a concept, the Nokia X9, that gets pictured below. This handset comes from Greece and it’s based on the X6, but it brings great features to the scene, stuff like a 12 megapixel camera with HD video recording and a HDMI port.

Dedicated Facebook and Twitter keys are also on board and we sure hope this beauty can run Symbian^4. The screen on this Nokia concept is a capacitive one, while the camera does 720p capture and uses a quad LED module. Nokia X9’s specs list also includes a microSD card slot, dual micro USB connectivity and support for push notifications.

Music can be streamed and shared on this device, via Over The Air methods and you can even share a playlist or album with your friends. Will we ever see such a model on the market, or will it remain a design?

4G Design by Seraphan, a 4.0 Hypothetical Version

4G Design by Seraphan, a 4.0 Hypothetical Version

Here’s yet another iPhone 4G concept, this time looking hotter than ever and created by iSpazio user Seraphan. This glossy piece of work comes with a bigger display than current iPhone models, plus iPhone OS 4.0, apparently.

There’s also a front 2 megapixel videocall camera on board, an SD card one side and the usual buttons for volume and silencing on the other side. At the back you’ll find a 5 megapixel camera sensor with flash and the memory is available in 32 or 64GB versions.

The interface on this iPhone 4G also seems to include a separate section used like some sort of dashboard, showing weather and features like emails, calendar and more. Does the UI borrow a bit from TouchFLO 3D/ HTC Sense, or is it just me?

After soooo much waiting and concepts, we’ve just got the very first REAL shots of the Apple iPad Tablet, from the official event held by the Cupertino giant in San Francisco. Welcome, iPad!

Macview Apple Tablet Concept Features Dual Touchscreen Displays

Macview Apple Tablet Concept Features Dual Touchscreen Displays

The Apple iPad should be real in less than two days, but till its debut we feast our eyes with one more tablet concept, the Macview, created by Patrycjusz Brzezinski. This original device doesn’t feature a QWERTY keyboard, but it uses two touchscreen displays, one of them serving as the virtual keyboard.

Based on Mac OS X, this Apple Tablet is very slim, with a 7mm waistline and we learn that Macview also comes with a battery able to last 10 hours, 1TB SSD memory and 4GB RAM. WiFi and Bluetooth are also supported, as well as Ebooks, video playback and a 1152 x 720 pixel resolution.

Safari will be the browser of choice on this supposed iPad and if you’re wondering about size, the product measures 24 x 15.6 cm. I haven’t seen the real Apple device just yet, but if we were to believe the leaks online, this concept is far better than the real thing.
