RIEN À VOIR AVEC LE KINDLE

C’est la journée du clone aujourd’hui, avec pour commencer ce magnifique spécimen de copie du Kindle, signée Founder International !
Son écran E-Ink est le même que celui du Kindle, et laisse même à son utilisateur la possibilité d’insérer une carte Sim. Bien sûr, la société assure que son produit n’a «rien à voir» avec le lecteur d’Amazon, ce qui ne lasse pas d’étonner. Le WeFound, est attendu en Chine à fin de l’année pour 209$ environ.

BENQ RELANCE LE S6

BenQ croit en son S6, un MID un peu falot dont on a perdu la trace ens septembre dernier (lire cette actu). Son constructeur a en effet décidé de le ressortir, équipé de Windows XP en lieu et place de Linux ! Pas sûr que la manip’ fonctionne, surtout à 424$ - les caractéristiques techniques de l’engin rappelées plus bas ne changeant pas, elles.
Pour rappel, le BenQ S6 est MID qui dispose d’un écran tactile LCD de 4.8″ en résolution WXGA (800×480px) et qui embarque un processeur Intel Atom 800 MHz, 512Mo de RAM, 2 Go de mémoire SSD, un module HSDPA 3G/3G+, un contrôleur WiFi 802.11b/g ainsi que le Bluetooth 2.0.

UNE TABLETTE CHEZ APPLE EN OCTOBRE

Ça faisait longtemps (quelques semaines ?) qu’on n’avait pas entendu parler d’une tablette chez Apple… Et bien il suffit de demander, le China Times a une bonne rumeur de derrière les fagots à nous proposer aujourd’hui : d’après le quotidien, le netbook Apple (qui serait surtout une tablette, donc) serait assemblé par Foxconn, tandis que les principaux fournisseurs seraient Wintek et Dynapack.
Évidemment, on y retrouverait un écran tactile et multi-touch (de 9,7 pouces ?) pour un tarif tournant autour des 800$. Un peu cher, mais on est habitué avec Apple… Le lancement serait prévu pour le mois d’octobre, histoire de cartonner les fêtes de fin d’année. Reste maintenant à savoir ce qu’il sera possible de faire avec un tel appareil !

Surge gets official, prettier than before

Today Nokia have finally announced the Nokia Surge full-QWERTY equipped side-slider. Packing an extraordinary design the new handset runs on the S60 and packs advanced messaging features and a distinct youthful appeal. We have to admit that the handset looks a lot better on the official photos than it used to on those leaked shots.
Nokia Surge packs a 2.4" 16M-color display of QVGA resolution. Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and dual-band UMTS with HSDPA 3.6Mbps support provide the network data transfers, while Bluetooth, USB and a 2.5 mm audio jack cover the local connectivity.
It's worth noting that the Nokia Surge sports the huge 1500 mAh battery that managed to impress us on Nokia E71. The list of interesting features of the device is completed by 128 MB of internal memory, expandable by up to 8GB through the microSD card slot, as well as FM radio, A-GPS and a 2 megapixel camera.
The AT&T-exclusive Nokia Surge also comes complete with a host of carrier-related services, including AT&T Navigator, Yellowpages.com, Where, AT&T Music, Mobi TV, Video Share, JuiceCaster and AT&T Mobile Banking.
Nokia Surge will be available through AT&T stores and at its online shop before the end of the month. It will set you back 79.99 USD with a two-year service agreement and after a mail-in rebate.

Tatino, High End Android Phone Gets 12 Megapixel Camera

Fancy a multitouch device branded Sony Ericsson and running the Android OS? What if it had a 12 megapixel camera on board with Xenon flash? Too bad that this is only a concept and I’m talking about Sony Ericsson Tatino, created by Esato board user tob!s.
The handset is a high end phone that’s part of the Entertainment Unlimited Series and it also comes with WiFi, a minimalist design and probably tons of internal memory.
