JavaOne Phone Strikes Again, Sony Ericsson Goes Android
30/04/2009 01:04
Razec from Esato has got another version of the JavaOne Phone for us, as promised, but this one’s Android flavoured. Looking hot? Oh yes it does, but don’t forget to check out the UIQ version as well. Sign me up for those Barcode Scanner and Talking Compass apps, as they look quite promising! After quite a long silence, Esato board user Razec introduces the Sony Ericsson JavaOne Phone with UIQ on it. There’s also a promise of an Android UI version of it, from the designer. Update: Here’s the video showing the JavaOne handset in action (thanks Razec):

Sony La Croix, Best PSP Phone Ever
30/04/2009 01:02
I’ve seen the PSP Phone more times than I’ve seen my own handset, but sadly only surfacing as a concept. Well, the Sony La Croix blends the gaming functions of the PSP with those of a cellphone and doesn’t call itself a PSP Phone, maybe as a superstition.
Nate Ribbens is the designer of the device that has two modes: a business one and the mode for “youthful gamers”. La Croix features a touchscreen and support for video playback, but sadly when it comes to games it only shows oldies like Tetris or Space Invaders.
Hope it’ll be able to play more complex games, since it has those neat gaming controls and great display.

Alicia. The W707…
28/04/2009 00:24
After tob!s from Esato killed us the other day with the beautiful XPERIA X5 concept, he’s ready to do it again, with the aid of a Sony Ericsson Alicia concept. Here’s the W707, in its electronic flesh, not really a concept but rather a prototype of the device with some Photoshop magic on it.

Xperia X5 Concept Design, an iPhone Clone
28/04/2009 00:22
I’ve seen my share of Xperia concept phones, specially that last one designed by Tigershark42 from Esato, but this one adds a breath of fresh air to the core of the device. I’m talking about the Xperia X5, tob!s’ full touchscreen phone that looks pretty neat actually, although it borrows a couple of design traits from the Apple iPhone. The Xperia X5 comes with an 8 megapixels camera with autofocus and a Xenon flash, plus 8 gigs of internal memory and the usual WiFi, GPS and UMTS support. Its display is a 3.2″ inch screen and the specs list ends with an M2 slot. One good Photoshop work, I’ll give you that and let all nay-sayers criticize this, as any iPhone clone branded Xperia is good enough for my standards.
