Sony Ericsson P3i, Photoshopped Beauty (2008 vs Leak vs 2007)
19/04/2009 21:24
Esato and Sony-Ericsson-Cz.com show us the latest version of the Sony Ericsson P3i, but this time we know that it’s a Photoshopped concept phone, instead of the old leaked image. In case you didn’t know, P3i is some sort of follow-up to the P1i. It features a touchscreen and I’m sure it’ll include Wi-Fi, 3G, maybe HSDPA and a 5 MP camera. The resemblance between the P3i and P1i is clear, specially when it comes to the design and you should notice that this new version of the P3i concept features a touchpad and a couple more keys beneath the display, unlike the original full touchscreen concept. Also, it seems we’ll be given a taste of Windows Mobile on this handset, but that’s pretty hard to believe at this point.
Here’s the first version of the P3i concept phone, that surfaced last summer and below it, yet another attempt at designing the perfect SE phone:

Sony Ericsson Mystery Concept Phone… Any Ideas
19/04/2009 15:37
Just stumbled upon a Sony Ericsson mystery concept phone on the Motorolafans forums and I’ve been wondering what series it could belong to. It’s certainly not a Walkman, nor it is a Cyber-shot, but could it be part of the “P” series? What do you make of it?
Interestingly enough, it’s got a sliding QWERTY keyboard and a virtual keypad plus a camera and a couple of extra buttons that are surely used for multimedia features. Also, the phone seems to use a neat photo editing app, P1100 FotoViewer 3.1 if I’m not mistaking.
Any idea about this concept? I’d love it if the designer, blackflip51 would tell us what handset this is.

Sony Ericsson K950i Bravia Phone Concept
19/04/2009 15:34
Muhammad-Oli from the Esato Board shows us the future of Sony Ericsson phones through this beautiful K950i Bravia. It features a pretty big touchscreen, landscape mode and that Bravia branding which pretty much describes the handset’s use. It’s a “cinema phone” if you want or a handset that will be loved by folks who like to watch high definition movies on the go.
Of course, there’s the iPhone, the PSP or the Nokia N95 8GB to choose instead, but would trade those for Sony’s famous Bravia branding? Notice the multimedia controls on the phone’s left side, as they show that this Sony Ericsson is designed for landscape viewing of movies and photos.
Keep in mind that K950i Bravia is a slider and it features a decent keypad, so you won’t be relying on that touchscreen alone.

Sony Ericsson W990 is A Poor, Poor Design
19/04/2009 15:31
Since we’re focusing on concept phones, there’s the occasional bad concept design we run into, made in a hurry, using Photoshop and elements from previously launched phones. We’re dealing with the perfect example of such a poor attempt, in the next image, seemingly showing a Sony Ericsson W990:
The bottom of this phone is actually the top of a Sony Ericsson W950i, as stated by an Esato board member, while the touchscreen + Windows Mobile is surely a combination not fit for the classic SE phone. Better luck next time, to the author of this design!

Sony Ericsson C910 Cyber-shot Concept Design
19/04/2009 15:29
If you’re into 5.1 megapixels of joy and CeBIT 2008 wasn’t enough, there’s another treat for the photographer in you: the Sony Ericsson C910 Cyber-shot concept phone. Designed by razec and posted on the Esato forum, this device is just what we need to elevate de megapixel standard count on all cameraphones.
Notice that small NVIDIA branding down below? Could the famous APX 2500 chipset be attending the show?
