Eagle 7, New WP7 Handset Design

Samsung Eagle 7 is a new Windows Phone 7 concept handset, designed by Long-Nong Huang and adopting quite a similar look to the other WP7 models. This device comes with a 1.2GHz CPU and a 4.2 inch Super AMOLED Plus display.

The concept phone is pretty wide and its rounded upper and lower half (plus back side, we suppose) should make it ergonomic and easy to use. We’re guessing that there’s at a 5MP camera the back and at least 8GB of memory available.

Although there are many people out there who hope to see Windows Phone 7 on tablets, this is very unlikely now, unless you take concepts into account. One of them is the Samsung Omnia 7 Tablet, designed by Joy Studios and pictured below. This WP7 slate features a 7 inch Super AMOLED multitouch display and tons of nifty specs detailed below.

The Omnia 7 Tablet packs a 5MP camera with flash and 720p video capture, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, 3G+ connectivity and GPS. A front 3MP camera is also available for videocalling, as well as 32/64GB of internal memory and two stereo speakers. Does this remind you of Samsung Gloria or what?

Happy new year and let’s get straight to business: if you love Windows Phone 7 and Samsung Omnia 7, you might be interested in the Pro version created by Joy Studios. They also published the specs of the device, that’s only a concept for now, so don’t expect it to pop up in stores anytime soon.

This is a 4 inch Super AMOLED smartphone with a 800 x 480 pixel resolution, 16/32GB of memory, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, 3G+ and GPS. There’s also a 5MP camera on board with 720p video capture and a sliding QWERTY keyboard, as shown in the image below. Will this Windows Phone 7 design become real?

Gloria Tablet Slider Mockup Could be the Future

Gloria Tablet Slider Mockup Could be the Future

Samsung wants to revolutionize the tablet segment, by launching a slate with a sliding keyboard, one that might look like the mockup below. This is the Samsung Gloria, a device that will become real in the near future and it might run Windows 7.

Samsung Gloria is supposed to feature a 10 inch touchscreen, a full QWERTY sliding keyboard and we should expect it on the market in March or April 2011. By the looks of it, the tablet concept comes with a front camera, possibly one at the back and a pretty cool nav pad.

Aquaphone Relies on Water Bubble Interface

Aquaphone Relies on Water Bubble Interface

Bon Seop-Ku had an original idea when it came to his Samsung concept phone: an interface that relies on water bubbles manipulated by electric current. Dubbed the Aquaphone, the handset is pictured below and looks like a very fragile piece of gadgetry, but a fashionable item, too.

It will be interesting to learn how the battery of this device will be incorporated into the Samsung Aquaphone and we guess that the display is only limited to black, white and gray maybe. It would be cool if some other substance, besides water was involved. Any ideas? This concept could be the start of something cool and maybe a new type of e-readers?
