nokia 7110 slide
16/10/2008 01:58
The Nokia 7110 slide seems like what Nokia has in store to replenish its lower midrange ranks. Equipped with a QVGA display, 1.3 megapixel camera and a microSD slot, the new Nokia 7110 slide is definitely not an exciting stuff.
Still, seeing QVGA resolution in the lower midrange segment seems like the right thing to do to boost Christmas sales.
The new Nokia 7110 slide will also have FM radio, tri-band GSM/EDGE support and Bluetooth. A standard microUSB slot completes the list.
According to the source, the estimated retail price of the Nokia 7100 slide will be 200 euro, but we highly doubt that. Just looking at the specs sheet, any price over 100 euro seems way off. Still, we'd better wait for the official announcement before making any further assumptions.

nokia Nseries touchscreen
14/10/2008 12:12
We’ve got two sources of information that claim we’ll soon see a Nokia N Series touchscreen handset and that on October 13th the Finns will reveal something N-Gage-based. On the one hand, Nokia officials recently claimed (during an event held in New Delhi) that N Series touchscreen devices are coming and on the other hand, the Nokia Blog got an invitation to the 13th October Nokia event. There’s an N-Gage reference in the invitation so… could it be (I can’t even dare to think) a touchscreen console? Or just another achievement of this great gaming software platform?

nokia N-gage 2
09/10/2008 00:58
Nokia’s Tube is just the beginning, we believe and there are strong arguments to support this theory. First comes that so-called “Touch Communicator”, leaked by the Finns during their webcast. So, we’ve got a high end music phone right now, the 5800 XpressMusic and an upcoming smartphone, but what about a more entertaining device?
Enter N-Gage 2… Nokia quit making the N-Gage phones, after they proved to be less successful than predicted, specially when competing against the likes of the PSP, GameBoy and Nintendo DS. The whole N-Gage concept turned into a gaming platform for smartphones and other high-end Nokia devices, but who knows when the hardware version might make a comeback.
All we have right now are these two images, concepts dating from 2005. Any hope left?

Nokia N96, Beautiful and Strange Concept Phone
09/10/2008 00:51
What you can see above is one of last year’s speculations on how Nokia N96 will look like, through the work of a Photoshop artist spotted on Unwiredview. It’s even more interesting when we get to see the specs of this strange beauty, presumably coming out before the also rumored N99:
- 7.1 MP camera with 20x optical zoom - GPS - Wi-Fi - MP3 - Bluetooth plus various other connectivity options - Live TV and HDTV support - 8GB storage space - 3″ display with VGA resolution
This concept phone is based on Symbian 9.5 and it’s a 8.5mm thick device, but its specs are more doable than you may think, since we’ve seen all of them (scattered) on other phones, but never in a single device. Any other feature you’d like in N95’s successor?

nokia camera phone
06/10/2008 01:13
After seeing Nokia’s Tube in action and getting a glimpse of the future Touch Communicator, it’s time for the camera to flash, as we check out an 8 megapixel cameraphone. Yes, the device is branded Nokia, but the details are extremely scarce… The handset looks more like a camera than a phone to me, but it’s equally hot.
Turns out that it features Bluetooth, Symbian S60, a speaker and tons of eco-friendliness. This concept phone is made of wood from sustainable forests, so Mother Nature won’t suffer as you take your pics with the aid of the handset.
