XPERIA X5 Android Phone, a Shane A. Bygrave Design With Great Specs on Board

After the XPERIA X2 got somewhat official, since tons of leaks have revealed its looks and specs, it’s time to move on to the future of Sony Ericsson’s smartphone series. This is why we’ve been seeing so many XPERIA X5 concepts on the Esato board, the latest being Shane A. Bygrave’s design, you can check out below.
This time we’re dealing with an Android version of the X5, one that weighs 138 grams, measures 110 x 55 x 17mm an comes in 2 colours: Oceanic Blue and Vinyls Red. As far as specs are concerned, the device comes with a primary 4 inch multi-touch OLED display with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution, dual speakers, Android OS, a QWERTY slide out keyboard and portable screen.
4G connectivity is also supported, together with quad-band, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, DLNA, USB, aGPS and there’s also built-in GPS among the features. An AMD Mobile Technology 1GHZ processor is running the show from underneath the case, accompanied by an Nvidia 3D graphic chipset, 1GB RAM, 2GB ROM and SD/MMC/MC card slot (external memory max 1TB).
There’s also an 8.1 megapixel camera on board with Photo Fix, touch focus, video recording and a VGA videocall cam, plus music features like MegaBass and TrackID. The best feature of this phone has got to be the X5’s wireless detachable screen, that’ll provide many hours of multimedia entertainment.

board user JOJO2531 created some very cool Sony Ericsson concept phones and now we learn an incredible fact about him: his name is Jozef Kocúr (as shown on the concepts) and he’s only 16 years old. Knowing all of these, his latest work, the Sony Ericsson Yanq smartphone becomes even more incredible.
We’re dealing with a Windows Mobile 6.5 device, with a 3.5 inch OLED display, an 8 megapixel camera with Xenon flash, aGPS, 16:9 screen ratio, WiFi, Bluetooth and HSDPA. The handset’s body is very slim and there are lots of colourful covers to have fun with.

Sony Ericsson s'est associé avec Dolce&Gabbana pour lancer le téléphone à clapet Jalou*, qui est censé apporter du style. Il est petit, mais a un APN 3 Mégapixels, la radio FM, un pédomètre et A-GPS. Les caractéristiques les plus visibles comprennent la couleur rose et le plaquage or. Nous ne savons pas combien il va coûter et qui va le vendre.
Je trouve personnellement que la couleur du téléphone n'est pas terrible, et je pense que le "design" existera en d'autres couleurs, car le téléphone en lui-même est assez simple. *Jalou vient probablement de Jaloux, en français.
Le Sony Ericsson Jalou mise sur le style avec un format clapet et riche en facettes donnant un aspect de bijou. Une édition Dolce & Gabbana est au programme.
Au coeur de l'été, Sony Ericsson dévoile le téléphone portable de type clapet Sony Ericsson Jalou qui mise sur un design à facettes, voulant lui donner l'aspect d'un joyau et destiné aux amateurs ( -trices, surtout ) de style et de mode...de l'an prochain.
C'est un téléphone de dimensions 73 x 45 x 18,2 mm pour 84 g avec un affichage interne 2" QVGA ( 240 x 320 pixels ) 262.000 couleurs, avec effet miroir pour se repoudrer le nez, et un écran externe LCD monochrome 1,3" 128 x 36 pixels.
L'interface présente également un podomètre et varie en fonction de la période zodiacale du moment. Les coloris choisis rappellent également les belles pierreries : Deep Amethyst, Aquamarine Blue ou Onyx Black.
Caractéristiques Du côté des fonctionnalités, le Sony Ericsson Jalou est un téléphone portable quadribande GSM / GPRS / EDGE et UMTS / HSDPA 2100, doté d'un APN 3,2 megapixels, d'un module A-GPS pour géotagguer les clichés, de la Radio FM et de la connectivité sans fil Bluetooth, avec profil A2DP ( pour y relier un casque sans fil ).
Le téléphone intègre 100 Mo de mémoire interne, extensible par port microSD, et dispose d'une autonomie de 7 heures en communication GSM, ou 4h30 en UMTS, et jusqu'à 350 heures en veille. Il possède enfin un navigateur NetFront d'Access pour la navigation Internet, peut faire office de client de messagerie et embarque une application Youtube.
Le Sony Ericsson Jalou sera disponible à partir du dernier trimestre 2009 pour un prix non encore communiqué.

Excuse the ironic title, but it’s funny to see major sites like Engadget taking the Sony Ericsson Jalou T650i concept for a real device. Congrats to the folks of Esato (user LEFTHORSE, if I’m not mistaking) for making such a believable Photoshop render, based on Sony Ericsson W995.
This cameraphone will seemingly run Symbian and support WiFi, plus it packs a GPS chipset and also supports HSDPA connectivity. This is probably the second time that I can spot both the Cyber-shot and Walkman brands on a single device and I’m really wondering what the megapixel count on this phone is… 8MP? Maybe 10?
